Halloween Party on THURSDAY

We will be having our annual Halloween party on THURSDAY this week due to a debate tournament. Come in costume, eat food and, as always, play some cool games! Hope to see you there.

In The Next Few Weeks…

Hello! I hope your exams have gone/are going well! Have some news about the coming weeks.

1. As usual, we will not be meeting this Friday due to Fall Break. The rooms in Beering Basement are NOT reserved, and we won’t be there, but feel free to get together at someone’s place and play there.

2. On the Friday after Fall Break (10/14), we will be adding Audiosurf, Beat Hazard, and Osu! to our game lineup. Audiosurf and Beat Hazard are powered by YOUR music, so bring your DRM-free music (MP3, OGG, WMA, etc.) to play. In addition, bring any beatmaps for Osu! that you want, as my collection is not very extensive.

Tarkington Guitar Hero/Rock Band Tournament

Tarkington Hall (West activity room)

Prizes will be given away for the 5 winners and everyone present will enter to win a 6th Prize. Prizes will roughly be worth $20.

Two separate brackets. Both will be point based. Best 2 out of 3, if time permits.
• Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock: Singles bracket on expert difficulty.
• Rock Band 3: Teams of 4 on hard difficulty.

End of the Year

There goes another year. Has it really been 11 semesters since the club got started?

Anyway, big thanks to everyone who attended this semester. We’ll be back in the same spot for spring semester, so don’t make any new plans for Friday nights. Also, we’re going to do a lot more advertising for next semester’s callout (for starters, we’ll pick a day to flyer when all the buildings aren’t locked), so keep your eyes open for emails about dates and times.

Finally, if you want to be an officer next year, start letting people know. Nate’s going off on Pharmacy rotation for a year, and I’m graduating again (last time, promise), so all officer positions will be open. For those of you who haven’t been paying attention, that’s President and Treasurer for the required positions, and Vice President, Equipment Manager, and Webmaster for the optional positions. Feel free to bring any questions to Nate or myself.
